The 2025 "Silk Road: Artists' Rendezvous" cultural exchange program kicked off on Aug. 10 along the Yellow River in Lanzhou, northwest China's Gansu Province. It was the first time that Italian artist Matteo Montani had visited China. Gazing at the Yellow River, he bent down to scoop up some water. "I had this instinct, of going and being closer as much as possible," he said.Different perspectives, the same reverence. Some communication requires no translation.
