会议宗旨/Purpose of the Conference

本会议旨在对艺术史大会相关会场主题进行讨论，增加学术主题的生产性。

To conduct discussions centered on the themes of these three sessions, and to foster the emergence of new approaches and topics within the academic field.

会议主题/Theme of the Conference

在不同语境下探讨艺术的功能与意义的展示与改变，以及如何通过跨文化、跨学科的交流产生出新的价值。通过对与艺术史大会有关的三个主题的讨论，思考艺术在不同历史时期、不同文化语境中的社会能量。

第4分会场的主题是“欣赏与实用”。就此议题，我们建议将讨论聚焦于艺术作品或工艺品之功能，及其作为艺术作品或手工艺品的功能是如何由其所扮演的社会角色所决定的。

第17分会场聚焦艺术史中的“展示”问题，“展示”作为现代艺术史学的重要命题，不只关乎艺术品的陈设与展览的历史，它更多的是让我们重新梳理展示本身在艺术史进程中的结构性作用，超越对于“观视关系”的现存论述，重新思考艺术在不同历史时期、不同文化语境中的社会能量。

第21分会场的主题是“多元与世界”，提出艺术史、媒介和再现：面向一种后全球化经典，在不同语境下探讨艺术史正在或者已经取代过去那种围绕经典而展开的阐释。艺术史中的经典在过去、现在和将来是如何被再现和整合的，以及经典如何受到媒体的挑战、改变和转化。

The purpose is to explore the change and display in the function and significance of art in different contexts, and how to understand and create changing values through cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary communication, and to reflect on the social energy of art in different historical periods and cultural contexts, through discussions revolving around three major themes of CIHA 2016.

The theme of Session 4, Appreciation and Utility, concerns the function of art and artifact. The discussion will focus on the functions of works of art or artifacts and how such functions have been determined by the social roles which they have played over time.

The theme of Session17, focuses on the issue of display throughout art history. Display, as the moment of art’s disclosure, is not to do solely with the placement of art works, nor is it simply a “jouissance installation”; it presents us rather with a possibility to overcome the fetishism of museum and to transcend our limits of spectatorship.

The theme of Session21, Connecting Art Histories and World Art, addresses the issue of the canon in art history, media and representation in the past, at the present and in the future. The question, “Towards a Postglobal Canon” underlies the session as a sub-theme asit encourages discussion of how the canon might be challenged, changed and transformed through media.
